Burn Island Eruption 1 allows all VeeFriends BOOK GAMES token holders to enter Burn Island by burning a token for a sweepstakes entry to win a G.O.O. (Gary Originally Owned) Series 1 Dynamic Dinosaur Spectacular Lava. As a sweepstake, burning a BOOK GAMES NFT does not guarantee you will win the prize. However, the more BOOK GAMES NFTs you burn, the more sweepstakes entries you will obtain.

The ULTRA RARE G.O.O. (Gary Originally Owned) Series 1 Dynamic Dinosaur Spectacular Lava is the prize for the winner of Burn Island Eruption 1. Can I use Layer 1 BOOK GAMES tokens to enter Burn Island Eruption 1?

A: Only Layer 2 BOOK GAMES tokens on IMX are eligible for Burn Island Eruption 1.

I have multiple wallets with multiple BOOK GAMES tokens. Can I burn them all at once?

A: No, you can only have one wallet connected at a time when working with a blockchain transaction, so to burn them all at once, you must have them within the same wallet based on wallet. You will receive an error if you select multiple tokens that do not reside in the connected wallet.

Do I need to “sign a transaction” for Burn Island?

A: Your VeeFriends.com account only requires one-time signing ever when linking your wallet. However, Burn Island is a platform that interacts with the blockchain and will require transaction signing to complete the burn process.

If I burn the wrong NFTs, can I get them back?

A: No, an acknowledgment that all burns are permanent and confirmation is required before burning your NFTs and cannot be undone.

When does Burn Island Eruption 1 take place?

A: Burn Island Eruption 1 occurs from February 21, 2023 to March 2nd, 2023.

What happens if I win?

A: Regulatory requirements state that all winners of prizes of $600 or more in value will be required to confirm their identity, and will be sent a 1099 form for tax purposes. Please consult a tax advisor if you wish to know the actual amount you will have to pay in taxes.

When is the winner announced?

The winner will be announced on or about March 10th and will receive an email from VeeFriends to help facilitate receiving the prize. The drawing process is completely randomized through Web3Raffle where the randomization seed is available for playback.

Where do burned NFTs go?

A: Once the winner is announced, all entries from Burn Island will be submitted to the Ethereum “dead address” which removes any access and ownership of the NFTs forever. The burn Address is 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000.

Can I access Burn Island through my mobile device?

A: Although accessing Burn Island using a mobile device is possible, we strongly advise using a desktop to prevent any potential technical difficulties.

Does burning an NFT enable the holder to claim it as a loss for tax purposes?

1. PROMOTION PERIOD: The Eruption 1 | Dynamic Dinosaur Sweepstakes (“Promotion”) begins 9:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on February 21, 2023 and ends 9:00 AM ET on March 2, 2023 (the “Promotion Period”).
2. ELIGIBILITY: The Promotion is open to individuals who are the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence as of date of entry and are current VeeFriends members with a digital wallet and have at least one (1) BOOKGAMES tokens as of 8:59 AM ET on 2/21/23 (“Entrant”). Employees of VeeFriends LLC (“Sponsor”), their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, partners and prize suppliers (collectively, “Released Parties”), and their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their spouses) and household members of each (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate or win. Void in all Countries embargoed by the United States and where prohibited or restricted by law. All applicable laws and regulations apply.
3. HOW TO ENTER: During the Promotion Period, you will receive entries when you enter at veefriends.com/burn-island (“Site”) and login to your VeeFriends account. Upon logging in, Entrants can confirm if they are eligible to participate in the Promotion. To be eligible, you must have at least one (1) BOOKGAMES token(s). If you are eligible and wish to participate in the Promotion, you can burn one (1) BOOKGAMES token to earn one (1) entry into the Promotion (“Burned Entry”) for each Burned token. By executing the burn function on your NFT, it is a permanent and irreversible action, making it no longer available for ownership or trade. You must include your digital wallet address supported on MetaMask, WalletConnect or other wallet extensions or gateways as allowed on the Site. When you provide your cryptocurrency wallet, you understand and agree that you are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your wallet and your control over any wallet-related authentication credentials, private or public cryptocurrency keys, non-fungible tokens or cryptocurrencies that are stored in or are accessible through your wallet. Standard data/usage rates from your online/phone service provider may apply. You may only submit your wallet and email address once. 2) If you wish to participate and do not wish to burn your BOOKGAMES token(s), or you want to earn additional Entries, you may enter by hand-printing your first and last name, complete mailing address, telephone number, email address associated with your VeeFriends account, and date of birth on a plain 3"x5" piece of paper and mailing in a hand-addressed stamped envelope, with sufficient postage to be mailed to the U.S. to: Eruption 1 | Dynamic Dinosaur Sweepstakes, Attn: James Cook, 10 Hudson Yards, Floor 25, New York, NY 10001 USA. Limit one (1) Mailed Entry per envelope. Mailed Entries must be postmarked by March 2, 2023 and received by March 10, 2023 to be entered into the random drawing. Mailed Entries that are mechanically reproduced, copied, illegible, incomplete, or inaccurate and entries by any means which subvert the entry process are void. Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Incomplete entries or entries not complying with these Official Rules are subject to disqualification, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Proof of mailing does not constitute proof of delivery. There is no limit to the number of entries per person in total (either by Burned Entries or Mailed Entries or a combination of Entries). Incomplete and/or inaccurate Mailed Entries are void. Burned Entries and Mailed Entries will be collectively referred to as “Entries”.
4. RANDOM DRAWING/ODDS: One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about March 13, 2023 from among all eligible Entries received. The random drawing will be conducted by the Sponsor at their office in NY USA. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible Entries received during the Promotion Period.
5. PRIZE AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE IN US DOLLARS (“ARV”): Grand Prize (1): A Gary Originally Owned (GOO) Lava Dynamic Dinosaur token. t. ARV: USD$12,000. The prize will be awarded to the digital wallet associated with the winner’s VeeFriends account. Any taxes or duties on the Grand Prize are the sole responsibility of winner. No transfer, substitution or cash equivalent permitted, except Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute an item of equal or greater value in the event the token is not available for any reason.
6. WINNER NOTIFICATION/PRIZE FULFILLMENT: The potential Grand Prize winner will be notified on or about March 14, 2023 via email and will then be required to sign and return, a Declaration of Eligibility/Release of Liability and where legal, a Publicity Release within 48 hours of notification attempt. Noncompliance within this time period may result in disqualification and an alternate winner being selected. Prize or prize notification returned as non-deliverable will result in disqualification and the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected and notified as indicated above. If winner is a Canadian resident, he/she must answer unaided time-limited arithmetic skill-testing question as a condition to winning the prize. Upon receipt of the Declaration of Eligibility/Release of Liability and confirmation of eligibility, winner will be sent their prize within seven (7) or being confirmed the winner.
7. GENERAL RULES: By participating in this Promotion, Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor/Administrator. By accepting prize, winner agrees that the Sponsor and those acting under the Sponsor’s authority may use winner’s name, picture/portrait, likeness, and/or hometown/country, for advertising and promotional purposes without further consideration, unless prohibited by law. By accepting the prize, winner agrees that Sponsor and their subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and Promotion agencies, including the Administrator, and their directors, employees, representatives and agents, partners and prize suppliers have no liability whatsoever for, and will be held harmless by winner for any liability for any injury, loss or damages of any kind (including death) to persons, and property damages sustained, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prize or participation in this Promotion or any prize- related activity. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the Promotion materials or the offering or announcement of the prize. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud,technical failure, human error or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Promotion, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the Entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and award the prize from among all eligible Entries received prior to cancellation.
