Breaking: Scene Swaps and Metadata Changes Are Coming Soon to VeeFriends Series 2!

We’re thrilled to provide you with an exclusive first look into what’s on the horizon — Scene Swaps are coming, and they’re about to change your Series 2 tokens forever. VeeFriends’ “Scene Swaps” will continue to entrust the choice of possibilities to holders while embracing innovation.

Introducing VeeFriends Series 2 NFT Scene Swaps

In forthcoming activations and Burn Island Eruptions, we’re introducing a new format that allows the chance to change your VeeFriends Series 2 tokens by changing the scene (aka background) and the first opportunity to Scene Swap will be through Burn Island’s 9th Eruption.

VeeFriends will be joining forces with different intellectual property partners, brands, cultural entities, and renowned artists to create and design new and exclusive Series 2 Scenes, allowing VeeFriends token holders to make permanent changes to the scene of their Series 2 token.

Each scene change is non-reversible, forever altering the appearance and corresponding metadata of your VeeFriends Series 2 tokens. For more information on how the metadata and images of NFTs can change, please see this thread.

All VeeFriends Series 2 Tokens to Remain As Unique 1/1 Artworks

VeeFriends Series 2 tokens are all uniquely 1/1 artworks by design and this will continue to remain true as new scenes are introduced to the VeeFriends universe. We are implementing technical parameters to ensure no duplicates of a character, scene, or pose, allowing ALL VeeFriends Series 2 tokens to remain true 1-of-1s.

This means that for each pose (classic, competing, evolving, manifesting, resting, and strategizing) of a single character, only one scene swap is available. For example, if two holders own an Optimistic Otter in Manifesting Pose, only one holder can swap the Scene of their NFT, ensuring that only 1 combination of Character + Pose + Scene is created.

When done on Burn Island, scene swaps will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. After a user confirms their burn and selects a specific pose/character combo, they will secure their spot for swapping to the new scene. Holders of that same character will be able to Scene Swap only if their pose differs from those already swapped. Specific details will appear on the Burn Island page when the official Eruption announcements are made.

The choice of change falls in your hands, where you choose your own destiny. If you do not participate in Burn Island “Scene Swaps,” no metadata altering will happen, you can keep your Series 2 NFT in its complete original state.
