Announcing “Please Take a Step Back” Snoop Dogg & VeeFriends’ Collaborative NFT Collection and Song
The highly anticipated collaboration has finally arrived. VeeFriends is thrilled to reveal its partnership with none other than the legendary hip-hop artist and global icon — Snoop Dogg. This monumental collaboration was initially announced at VeeCon 2022 and will include a new single from Snoop Dogg to be released on 4/28 (Pre-Save NOW to be the first to hear it when it’s out), as well as a multi-phase experience on Burn Island.
The exciting collaboration brings to life the new track “Please Take a Step Back” by Snoop Dogg featuring GaryVee, which serves as a manifesto for their shared passion for entrepreneurship and positive mindsets and commemorates Snoop Dogg’s appearance at the first-ever VeeCon. Set to launch in multiple phases through Burn Island, this special collaboration promises to deliver fun, thrills, and excitement over the upcoming months.
The below is a high level preview of the Please Take a Step Back Collection and Activation details. Explicit and official rules, terms and details to follow prior to the launch of each phase.
Phase 1 | Burn to Mint
To commemorate the new single and the inaugural year of VeeCon, the first drop of this collaboration will take place on Burn Island and will be exclusive to holders of VeeCon 2022 NFT tickets. For this special Eruption, Burn Island will allow VeeCon 2022 tickets to be burned at a one-to-one ratio, with no limit on how many one can burn, in exchange for a newly minted NFT from the “Please Take a Step Back” NFT collection created by VeeFriends in collaboration with Snoop Dogg. This NFT will not be available for primary purchase on any other marketplaces or music NFT platforms. The supply of “Please Take a Step Back” NFT collection will be determined by how many VeeCon 2022 NFT Tickets are burned. Rarities or metadata of VeeCon 2022 Tickets will have no implications on the burn to mint. All newly minted “Please Take a Step Back NFTs” will have pre-reveal metadata and content before entering into phase 2.
Phase 1| Eruption 6: “Burn to Mint” Preliminary Details

RECEIVE: 1 x “Please Take a Step Back” NFT

BURN ENDS: Monday 5/8, 4:20 PM EDT

Phase 2 | Burn to Compete & Ape in
The commencement of Phase 2 ”Burn to Compete & Ape In” will begin alongside the release of the “Please Take a Step Back” official music video. The Burn Island eruptions will require the competitive nature of all the holders of the Please Take a Step Back NFT Collection as there will be two different competitions, each with different terms, sets of rules, judging criteria and receivables, all of which pay homage to Snoop’s NFT collection, specifically, the Bored Ape Yacht Club, and his infamous Bored Ape known as “Dr. Bombay”
The first eruption will be a competition wherein the selected winner will receive the holy grail of GaryVee’s BAYC collection, Bored Ape Yacht Club #1452.
The second eruption will be a competition, wherein the top winners will take away notable Yuga Labs NFTs and ApeCoin!
1st Place Receives: Mutant Ape Yacht Club #12904,
2nd Place Receives:Koda Otherdeed for Otherside #28379,
3rd Place Receives: Bored Kennel Club #1452
4th — 10th Place Receives: 1,000 ApeCoin ($APE)
All competitions will require the permanent burning of NFTs from the Please Take a Step Back collection in order to enter.

Phase 3 | Burn to Attend
In Phase 3 on Burn Island, 10 individuals will be rewarded a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Join GaryVee in Atlanta on August 9th, 2023 to attend the High School Reunion Concert featuring Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa.
