What is Burn Island?

Burn Island is a platform that lets VeeFriends holders turn their NFTs into possible physical or virtual items. Each “Eruption” offers unique NFT burn requirements, unlocking endless possibilities for holders. Learn more about Burn Island in our featured blog post HERE!

REMINDERS on Burning Process

If Burn Island doesn’t already have approval of your PTASB token, you can expect two transactions with gas (check gas in real-time) associated with this Eruption.

Step 1 — Set Approval For All: A one-time transaction for approval and the burning transaction. Set Approval For All is required to grant approval for a smart contract to transfer multiple tokens on behalf of the user without requiring separate approvals for each token transfer.

Step 2 — BURN Your NFT: After you complete the Set Approval For All transaction, you can burn your NFT(s). Transactions on mainnet can take longer to complete than Layer 2 IMX. Typically the transaction can take 30 seconds to 2 minutes if your gas is set to the recommended amount (The preset amount has over a 90% chance of being in the next block). If you slow down your gas, it may take over 15 minutes.
